A. Currently, the only way to order our candles is to shop online. Local customers (Dayton, OH) can also check our "About Us" page to see if there are any local events planned where our candles can be purchased.

Q. What forms of payment do you accept?

A. When you order from us online, you are directed to PayPal for your secure financial transaction from your shopping cart. You may use your PayPal account or a credit card to pay for your order. PayPal is also an excellent option for those who prefer not to give their credit card information over the internet - you can simply transfer funds from your bank account to your PayPal account with the click of a button - and it's free.

Q. Will I be charged sales tax for my online order?

A. Customers who live outside of Ohio will not be charged sales tax.

Because Greenhouse Soy Company is located in the state of Ohio, by law we must charge sales tax to Ohio customers. Ohio customers will be charged sales tax at the rate of 7%, the average Ohio rate. After your purchase, we review all Ohio orders to determine the tax rate based on your shipping address. If it is lower than 7%, we will refund the difference to the account/credit card used to make the transaction. We apologize to Ohio customers for the inconvenience and are currently working on a shopping cart system that will automatically calculate the correct tax rate based on your shipping address.

Shipping FAQs

Q. How long does it take before my order is shipped?

A. Normal processing time for orders is 2-3 days or less. Please keep in mind that, regardless of your shipping selection, it still takes time for us to process your order. For example, if you select 2 day shipping, it may take up to 4-5 business days to receive your order (2 days for shipping, 2-3 days for processing).

You will receive e-mail notification with your UPS tracking number when your order is shipped. You can use this tracking number at ups.com to track your package.

Q. Will my soy candles melt during transport?

Our candles will not melt during UPS transport if properly cared for by the driver. The biggest risk of melting is the period of time between when the driver delivers the package to your doorstep and you retrieve your package.

We strongly encourage you to use UPS tracking so that you are aware of the estimated day of shipping, especially during the summer months. If you leave your soy candles in the sun for an extended period of time (more than a few hours) before retrieving your package, your candles may begin to melt. You should arrange for your package to be retrieved as soon as possible after delivery, especially if you do not have a porch or other shaded area where your UPS driver leaves your package.

Q. What shipping options do you offer?

A. We ship via UPS. At this time we are offering two shipping options: UPS Ground and UPS 2 day.

Q. What will it cost to ship my order?

A. At Greenhouse Soy Company we want you to be able to purchase your candles without worrying about high shipping costs. Therefore, all orders under $100 ship UPS Ground for a flat $7.99 fee, ($18.99 for 2 day shipping), regardless of the size or weight of the item. This enables you to add several products to your order without increasing your shipping costs. Our shipping costs are summarized in the table below: (Continental U.S. only)

Q. Do you ship to Alaska/Hawaii/U.S. Territories?

A. We currently only ship to the Continental U.S. We are sorry for the inconvenience that causes for customers outside of that region. We do hope to eventually expand our shipping area.

Returns and Exchanges

Because Greenhouse Soy Company wants you to be happy with your purchase, we have a comprehensive return and exchange policy.

Placing an order with us constitutes your agreement with our return/exchange policy.

Please do not return merchandise without first contacting us via e-mail or telephone regarding your return. Otherwise, you run the risk of not being reimbursed properly for your item(s). You must notify us within five business days of your intent to return or exchange any defective or unwanted product. After five business days, it is at our discretion to reimburse you for any return or exchange. You must include a copy of your original invoice with a description of the reason the item is being returned.

In the event that an item(s) in your order are defective, broken, or damaged, we will replace your damaged product with another identical product in new condition. You will not be charged shipping for the replacement product and you will be reimbursed for return shipping costs upon receipt of the damaged item. You must ship the item via UPS ground or UPS 2nd day (whichever was used in your original order). Otherwise, we will calculate the postage to return the goods to us via the original shipping method and reimburse you for that amount.

If the merchandise is not defective, and you simply want to return it, we will accept the return and refund the purchase price, but you will not be reimbursed for return shipping costs. Your return is also subject to a 15% restocking fee. In order to be reimbursed, the product must be in its original, sellable condition. For example, you may not return a candle that has been lit or burned.

We reserve the right to refuse further sales to any customer who we believe to be abusing our refund/exchange policy..
